Ignite Honolulu 2

Ignite Honolulu 2 is now over. Thank you to TechHui for making us a part of your successful event!
Ignite Honolulu 2 has been requested for the 2011 TechHui Conference! Ignite is an event that is done all across the globe, and the first Ignite Honolulu was this past August 2011. If you are unfamiliar with the Ignite format, it is a series of presentations that are limited to 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds creating a five minute presentation. The point is to enlighten us, but keep it short.
This time around our speakers are:
Kevin Hughes – “Great Examples of Cross-Device Design”
James Wang – “Software Development Communication”
April Young – “3D Printing: Uses in Protoyping, Art and Future Possibilities”
Chae Ho Lee – “Designing for the screen: Not just a world of surfaces.”
Gorm Lai – “Global Game Jam – ‘Channelling the Energy of Thousands of Creatives Across the Globe’”
Olin Lagon – “How a local nonprofit engaged over 100K+ people with $0 marketing”
Nicole Hori – “Rediscovered Technology”
This time around the presentations are not being filmed, so you must register for the conference to attend Ignite Honolulu’s second show. The conference is Saturday, December 10th, with the goal to highlight interesting Hawai’i-based people, projects and organizations working in science, technology and interactive design. The day long event seeks to facilitate education and networking within the Hawai’i technology community as well as helping Hawaii technologists connect with global technology leaders. Along with Ignite Honolulu, you will be exposed to Mobile Development, Web Apps for the People & Hawaii’s New Broadband Initiative, Kukui Cup: Gamification of Energy Efficiency, Social Media, and 3D CG & Animation. General admission to the 2011 TechHui Conference is $35, and $25 for TechHui members. If you are unfamiliar with TechHui, it is Hawaiʻi’s science, technology and new media community. Sign up to connect with a network of over 2,500 members in Hawai‘i!
During the conference, Ignite Honolulu 2 is scheduled for Session 3. It starts at 2:45pm to 4:00pm in the Art Auditorium. Kevin Hughes and HI Capacity will be participating along with other individuals for a total of seven speakers.
