If you missed us last time(s)…

Ignite Honolulu is an event where a series of presenters give talks on topics they feel passionate about. The talks are limited to 20 slides that auto advance every 15 seconds, creating a quick five minute presentation.

The idea is to enlighten us but keep it short!

Ignite Honolulu focuses to give a voice to the many projects and ideas in Hawaii’s diverse communities. We launched our first event as a mixer between designers and developers to stimulate collaboration. The venue was at the coworking space, The Box Jelly, which is inside the furniture store fishcake. The venue was ideal due to the creative space fishcake provided and the startup nature of The Box Jelly’s coworking space.

The second time around, Ignite Honolulu was featured during a session at the 2011 TechHui Conference. TechHui is Hawaii’s science, technology and new media community. The conference took place at the University of Hawaii’s Manoa campus in the Art Auditorium.  Attendees viewed presentations catered to technology, community projects, theory, and design.
